Goodman presents street art at T&L 2019

Thursday, 03 October 2019

At Goodman, we love to ‘Make Space for Greatness’. And by that, we don’t just mean for our own employees or those of our clients.
By supporting SOS Children’s Villages we try to create greatness for children who are less fortunate. With a big online street art auction, with artworks created at Transport & Logistics 2019 in Antwerp, the Goodman Foundation is aiming to give this noble organization the attention and financial support it deserves.

The Goodman Foundation has been a partner of SOS Children’s Villages since 2013. The organization relies on funding to build so-called SOS Children’s Villages Homes across Belgium and around the globe. One of those homes is The Simba Home (Het Simbahuis) in Liedekerke, which offers a temporary home to young children to provide them with quality care until their family’s circumstances improve enough for them to return home.

Dzia mural art auction

This year, we are taking this partnership to a higher level. How exactly? By setting up a big urban art auction with works resulting from live art at this year’s Transport & Logistics fair in Antwerp (October 15 – 17). The auction will offer a unique opportunity to buy an exclusive piece of artwork by the Antwerp-based muralist Dzia. The internationally acclaimed artist has been making a name for himself by adding faunal and aerial elements to walls in urban spaces from China to Norway.

On day one and two of the Transport & Logistics fair, visitors can witness the making of the mural and meet the artist at the Goodman booth (#4.112). Dzia will bring to life a creature using his signature bold geometric and colourful style. On October 16th (18 h), the Goodman Foundation will donate one of the three murals to the winner of the Transport & Logistics Gazellen award. The two remaining artworks will be sold via an online auction from 21 to 25 October, with proceeds going entirely to SOS Children’s Villages.

“We are taking our motto ‘Making Sspace for Greatness’ literally this year”, says Goodman marketing manager Patrick Van den Broeck. “The ‘Space’ in this case will be a big white wall on which Dzia will create three unique murals – the greatness. Everyone who passes by the booth will be able to witness the creation process.”
